American Fridge Freezer

Large side by side American fridge freezers, with the freezer on one side and the fridge on the other, are becoming increasingly popular.

These large capacity appliances provide huge volumes of food and drink storage space. They require a cold water supply and can be integrated to blend in with your kitchen by installing a top cupboard between two tall end panels or left free-standing.

Some American Fridge Freezers are now only approximately 60cm deep which fit better with UK fitted kitchen furniture.

As with other appliances, services i.e. water and electrical, should terminate and be connected to the appliance via an adjacent cupboard. Should this not be possible, fit the services as close as possible to the rear wall. If you wish your fridge to lie flush with the adjacent cabinets you will require greater depth matching end panels and this will achieve the desired effect.

Ice making is an option on many American style fridge-freezers, sometimes available without opening the door, as are cold water dispensers. Stainless steel is the most popular finish with traditional white & black colours still available.
