Bosch Built In Oven

There are two main sorts of Bosch built in ovens - Single or Double.
Single Ovens
Normally 600 mm wide and in most instances these will be fitted in a housing under a worktop, with the separate hob above. Alternatively the products can be installed in a tall housing built in at eye level.
With a single oven the grill is in the same cavity as the oven.
Twin cavity & double ovens
Don’t mix these up or you may end up with a product that is not ideally suited to your requirements. Twin cavity ovens are normally single ovens with the grill in a separate cavity while double ovens comprise of two independent ovens with the grill normally in the smaller oven.
As with the single ovens these are normally 600mm wide but there are generally two different types available, built in & built under.
Built in double (or twin cavity) ovens are normally 900mm high and designed to be installed in a tall housing at eye level.
Built under ovens are designed to be installed beneath a worktop usually under the hob. These are normally smaller in size than the built in variety but are useful where a double oven is required and space is an issue.
Electric fan ovens are the most popular choice, but gas versions including LPG models are available on the market.
Electric multifunction models offer a choice of cooking options. Look out for models, which offer fan cooking as well as conventional electric cooking. A multifunction cooker may also have features such as closed door grilling & defrosting.
Some top of the range models have touch sensitive controls.
For those who want the built in look but need that little extra cooking capacity look out for larger size models. 900mm wide ovens are increasing in popularity with some manufacturers now offering 1200mm tall ovens.
Cleaning
If you cant bear cleaning the oven some models include stay clean oven liners, but the best system must be Pyrolytic where the internal temperature rises to 500 degrees and any grease or fat is simply burnt away. All that remains is a small pile of ash at the bottom of the oven, which is simply wiped away. Some manufacturers produce models where the oven cavity is cleaned by steam.
Styles & Colours
Brown has now virtually disappeared from the market to make way for the latest trend colour Black. This colour is ideally suited to both modern & traditional style models. White remains a safe and popular finish with all styles of oven with green & cream attractive colours for the more traditional kitchen.
However, stainless steel dominates the market proving that it is not just the latest fashion colour. New Aluminium models are starting to appear in the market for those who want the latest finish. Aluminium also offers cleaning advantages over stainless steel.
