A machine that is more expensive to purchase initially but has lower running may prove more economical in the long run. More efficient machines also help us look after the environment as they are using less energy & water. Take time to study the interior layout of the appliance, look out for baskets and racks that offer flexible storage options and will accept larger items such as full size dinner plates.
Most modern dishwashers are very quiet when in operation. Noise levels are measured in decibels, which most manufacturers will sate on their point of sale or within their brochures. 49db & below equals a quiet machine.
Nearly all modern machines have stainless steel interiors and concealed heating elements.
