Franke Sink
Franke of Switzerland is the world's leading sink manufacturer and renowned for a commitment to quality and an unmistakable flair for design, using the finest materials and state-of-the-art production technology.
Franke has become the world's largest composite sink manufacturer by adopting the same policies of investment in innovation and technology which established their position as the world's largest stainless steel sink manufacturer.
Franke is a Swiss company operating in a number of different markets on a global scale. The company was formed in 1911, and Franke produced their first sink in 1925. Franke is the World's largest manufacturer of kitchen sinks, and is at the forefront of research and development of new materials and products for the kitchen. Franke UK is wholly integrated into the Franke Kitchen System Division.
The modern sink has come a long way from its humble beginnings. Gone are the days when it was a massive sink tub fixed to wall, with a wooden drainer beside it. Now, with kitchen design playing a key role in home improvement, it has ceased to be a mere workaday item.
Now it is designed to be good looking, even fashionable, as well as functional. And options are much wider in terms of materials, colours, styles and formats. Franke is always at the forefront of design implementation in the manufacture of new models and materials.
Franke Sinks are available in the following materials;
Stainless Steel
The choice of all catering and medical establishments, where hygiene is of paramount importance. Franke's finest quality 18/10 Stainless Steel sinks range from hi-tech to simple contract style, all share quality standards second to none.
With its supreme toughness and sleek good looks, 18/10 Stainless Steel is the ultimate material for kitchen sinks.
Lighter than most sinks, 18/10 Stainless Steel sinks are nonetheless exceedingly resilient and will not chip, flake or, of course craze or break. Stainless Steel is resistant to rust, corrosion and heat and because it is non-porous, it will not taint food.
Stainless Steel is also easy to clean and superbly hygienic.
The naturally neutral finish of Stainless steel blends into any kitchen colour scheme. Furthermore it can be colour keyed with existing schemes through the use of coloured accessories.
More and more kitchen designers are now using stainless steel as a design motif in its own right. A look through most kitchen brochures will confirm this trend towards the modern 'semi-professional' look domestic kitchens. The Stainless Steel look can be achieved in either brushed satin or polished finish, both of which develop a rich patina over the years, or by introducing the textured feel of Linen, CordSteel or the new Microtexture finish as seen on the Professional EUT 651 sink.
18/10 Stainless Steel sinks have the widest variety of models and sizes on offer, matched by looks that last a lifetime.
Some kitchen designs call for complete colour coordination across work surfaces, appliances and accessories. Stainless steel sinks are not to be bettered in functional terms but cannot be manufactured in different colours. So Franke have developed a range of synthetic sinks which come as close as possible to meeting the exacting standards of stainless steel, and also to complement the colour schemes of kitchen design.
Synthetic
Colour is a key feature of Franke's Fragranite sinks. These are the most advanced and come in a range of colours - with matching taps and accessories - to offer complete colour co-ordination in your kitchen or choose a Designer Value Pack.
These high performance ranges bring home other key advantages. Synthetic sinks have a wonderful warmth, feel and texture whilst providing an astonishing level of durability.
Fragranite is the toughest synthetic sink material and contains around 80% natural granite particles. It resists heat to 280°C and shrugs off burns, dents, chips and stains.
Fragranite is also available in SilkSheen colours for the Mythos, Atlantis, Nautilus and Professional ARG 651 models.
Ceramic
Designed to meet today's needs, Franke Ceramic sinks are available in both inset and Belfast styles.
Ceramic inset sinks reflect a traditional style in a modern setting whilst Ceramic Belfast sinks recall kitchens of an earlier era.
The natural high glaze finish of the Franke Ceramic range matches perfectly into a traditional kitchen setting.
