Will the door get hot ?
Although Neff and many other manufacturers significantly reduced the
temperatures of their doors to well within the current European standard,
the temperature is still warm. If the oven is positioned within reach
of small children, supervision is suggested.
Which is a better choice, a double or a single with a microwave positioned
above ?
If you already have a free standing micro and don't want to replace
it, you might prefer a double system. Here you've a choice of models
with the small grill at the top or at the bottom. If you do a lot of
conventional grilling, an eye level grill may be more useful, although
several of the double ovens have grills in both cavities.
If you want to build in your microwave but still want the option of
two ovens, we would suggest a single and combination micro. This has
become a very popular choice. The combination microwave provides all
the heating functions plus an additional grill facility. But remember,
when you use this appliance with conventional heat, the inside will
become hot. It is important that it is positioned at a suitable height.
When the door drops down, please ensure you can reach into the oven
easily.
